Choosing Addi Circular Needles

The first decision to make when selecting Addi Circular Needles is the type of Tip. There are three basic styles (Addi Turbo, Lace and Natura Bamboo). Click Here to see how the Lace and Natura Bamboo compare to the original Addi Turbo tips.

The next decision is whether to choose individual Addi Turbo, Lace, Natura Bamboo or Rockets/Sock Rockets needles or an interchangeble set like the Addi Click system.



Addi Turbo Knitting Needles

These needles, made of nickel plated brass (up to 15mm) with soft, pliable cables connected via snag-free joints, come in a very wide ranges of sizes from 1.5 to 25mm (closest US and UK sizes also shown) and in lengths from 20 cm (8 inches) to 150 cm (60 inches). Note that the largest 20mm and 25mm Addi Turbo needles are made of plastic instead of brass.

Addi Turbo Lace Knitting Needles

These new Addi Turbo Lace circular knitting needles from Skacel are specifically designed for the needs of lace knitters. Sharper tips enable the knitter to manipulate many strands of very fine yarn (see comparison picture of the two different tips). The needles themselves are made with hollow brass with a fine resin protective coating to seal the brass and provide a hint of drag to the needle surface to allow the knitter to keep control over fine lace stitches. The coating also deadens the sound of needles hitting each other. The light blue transparent nylon cord is thinner and more flexible than standard Addi Turbos and the connection to the needles at each end is perfectly smooth and well-tapered allowing stitches to pass over the connection with no catching.

These needles are a must for the serious lace knitter and like conventional Addi Turbo needles, they are unconditionally guaranteed by the manufacturer.

Addi Rocket and Sock Rocket Knitting Needles

These Addi needles have beend designed especially for the knitters that prefer the shape of the Addi Turbo Lace Needles but want the Nickel coating of the regular Addi Turbo Needles. The smaller needles (1.5mm to 3mm) have even been named Addi Turbo Sock Rockets because they are perfect for sock knitting! The sizes above 3mm are labled as Addi Turbo Rockets but are basically the same design.

Like the Addi Lace needles these Rockets have the sharper tips enabling the knitter to manipulate many strands of very fine yarn but are made of nickel plated brass with soft, pliable cables connected via snag-free joints.

Addi Click Interchangeable Circular Needle Set

The interchangeble needle system with the quality of Addi Turbos!

The Addi-Click System provides a collection of needle tips in different sizes, a number of sections of the extremely pliable blue cord to allow the knitter to constuct a wide range of circular needles of varying thickness and length. The kits also include a connector piece to help store stitches or combine cords to form a longer circular needle. The Addi Click tips require no tools to change; simply insert the cord deep into the tip, twist and release. The tips will remain secure until you change them.

The Addi-Click system means that you will always have the right size and length of needle when you need it. When you discover your gauge calls for a needle one size larger or smaller than you anticipated, you just switch needle tips and you are ready to knit.

Like standard Addi circular needles, Addi Click systems come with a variety of tip styles to match every knitter's needs. This includes the regular Addi Turbo design as well as Natura Bamboo, Lace and Long Lace. The Lace Addi Clicks have shorter tips to allow for construction of needles with a shorter length. Except for the Bamboo version, all Addi Click needles are Nickel-plated Brass like the original Addi Turbos. The Lace versions have the sharper tip like Addi Lace needles.

The Addi Click sets come in a high quality soft storage case that is color coded to the particular style of needles. In addition to the basic sets, extra tips (2 per set), additional cords and connectors can be ordered separately from the tables below. Metric needle sizes are shown with the closest US and UK sizes.

A set of crochet hooks that fit on the Addi Click cables is also available along with Addi's Heartstopper end-caps to complete your set!

All Addi Click sets include the SOS Lifeline cords which have a handy hidden eyelet that can be used to hold the end of your yarn to avoid dropped stitches. This eyelet is invisible until the knitter grasps the cord on each side of the eyelet and presses together causing it to appear to provide a handy yarn holder. Additional cords can be ordered separately below. These needles include the North American warranty.
